Traditionally the veils between the worlds are at their thinnest now. Boundaries dissolve and all is open. Through the veils of remembrance we honor and offer up to our Ancestors, while embracing the darker nights.
Samhain: Known as the most important festivals in the wheel of the year in the Celtic tradition.
Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead): A festival of celebration celebrated through out Mexico is a time when relatives gather to honor and remember the Ancestors and loved ones who have departed the Earth. The festival began over 3,000 years ago with origins linked to the Aztecs. On this day of remembrance the souls of the dead return to visit the living loved ones and acknowledge the ofrendas.
The festivals of Samhain and Dia De Los Muertos both represent a time to walk through the portal to the other world in communication between the living and the deceased. On this special 2 day remembrance with Abhaijot we will honor the magical time of both of these festivals through traditional ritual, connection, and offerings to the spirits that still walk by our sides in the invisible realm. Come as you are with an open heart allowing the love and magic of this time to present itself.
***Upon Registration you will receive a list of recommended items for the ritual and Ofrendas please note you do not need any of these to attend you can come as you are with a picture of your ancestors and a candle.***
